  • 6 whole fresh Mission figs stems removed and halved
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1 large frozen banana sliced for easier blending
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 2 tbsp raw honey adjust to taste
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon plus extra for garnish
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds ground for better absorption
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract pure extract preferred

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute the Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt and the honey with maple syrup. If fresh figs are out of season, soak 4-5 dried figs in warm water for 10 minutes before blending. This smoothie is best enjoyed immediately but can be stored in an airtight mason jar for up to 12 hours.
