Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup fresh or frozen blueberries frozen is recommended for a thicker texture
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or dairy-free alternative
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves lightly packed
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup, adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chia seeds optional, for extra fiber

Notes

Storage: This smoothie is best enjoyed immediately. If you must store it, keep it in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; stir or shake well before serving as separation may occur.
Make-Ahead: Pre-portion all the solid ingredients (blueberries, basil) into freezer-safe bags and store in the freezer. In the morning, simply add the bag contents to your blender with the liquid ingredients and blend.
Substitutions: Use any milk you prefer. Maple syrup or agave can replace honey. Spinach can be added for extra greens without overpowering the flavor.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with a colorful paper straw for a fun, summer-ready presentation.
