Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 whole frozen bananas peeled and sliced before freezing
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk or any plant-based milk
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats provides a creamy texture and extra fiber
  • 2 tbsp creamy almond butter unsalted
  • 2 whole Medjool dates pitted and soaked in warm water for 5 minutes
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon high quality Ceylon preferred
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger for a subtle spicy kick
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom aromatic and floral
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves use sparingly as it is very potent
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure extract for best flavor

Notes

For an extra protein boost, add a scoop of vanilla pea protein powder. To make this ahead of time, blend all ingredients except the frozen banana and store in the fridge; add the frozen fruit and blend just before serving. Leftovers can be frozen into popsicle molds for a healthy fall treat.
