Ingredients

  • 1 block Extra-firm Tofu 14 oz, pressed for at least 30 minutes and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp Avocado Oil Or other high-heat neutral oil
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch For extra crispiness
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 0.25 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce Or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Hot Water To thin the sauce to desired consistency
  • 1 tsp Sriracha Optional, for heat

Notes

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The tofu is best reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore its crispiness. Make-Ahead Tip: You can press and cut the tofu up to 2 days in advance. Keep it submerged in water in the fridge to prevent it from drying out. Variations: For a nut-free version, substitute the peanut butter with sunflower seed butter or tahini. Add a teaspoon of grated ginger to the sauce for extra zing.
