Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar or more to taste
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice from about 6-8 lemons
  • 8 cups water cold
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves loosely packed
  • ice ice cubes for serving

Notes

Store leftover lemonade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a stronger mint flavor, muddle the mint leaves before adding them to the pitcher. You can substitute honey or agave for sugar. To make ahead, prepare the strawberry syrup and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Combine with lemon juice, water, and mint just before serving.
