  • 1 medium frozen banana peeled and sliced before freezing
  • 0.33 cup rolled oats certified gluten-free if necessary
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder whey or plant-based
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp almond butter creamy and unsalted
  • 2 whole Medjool dates pitted
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon plus extra for garnish
  • 0.25 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt to enhance the cookie flavor
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes optional for extra thickness

Notes

For a 'raisin' twist, stir in 1 tablespoon of raisins after blending. To make this ahead of time, blend everything except the ice and store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours; shake well before drinking. You can substitute almond butter with peanut butter or sunflower seed butter if preferred.
