Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks provides a thick, frosty texture
  • 1 large ripe banana peeled and sliced
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened coconut milk from a carton, or almond milk
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder high-quality blue-green algae
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice cuts through the earthy spirulina flavor
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated for a spicy kick
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds for added protein and healthy fats
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup optional, to taste

Notes

For the best texture, use frozen fruit instead of ice cubes which can dilute the flavor. If the smoothie is too thick, add extra coconut milk 1 tablespoon at a time. Store leftovers in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, though some separation is natural; shake well before drinking.
