Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon cubed and frozen for at least 4 hours
  • 0.5 cup coconut water chilled
  • 0.25 cup Greek yogurt plain or honey flavored
  • 6 leaves fresh basil washed and stems removed
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp honey optional, to taste
  • 1 pinch sea salt to enhance fruit sweetness

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute the Greek yogurt with coconut cream or a plant-based yogurt. To make ahead, freeze the watermelon in measured portions in freezer bags. This smoothie is best consumed immediately as the watermelon will separate as it thaws. If you don't have frozen watermelon, use fresh fruit and add 1 cup of ice, though the flavor will be slightly diluted.
